Welcome to FestFlix.tv

The Streaming Home of Atlanta Film Series

For 25 years, Atlanta Film Series has connected audiences with independent filmmakers through film festivals, screenings, and special events.

FestFlix.tv extends that mission online by bringing selected films from our festivals directly to audiences through limited-time streaming showcases.

Throughout the year, viewers can discover curated collections from Atlanta Horror Film Festival, Atlanta Shortsfest, ATL DOC, Atlanta Experimental Fest, Atlanta Underground Film Festival, Spotlight, and other Atlanta Film Series programs.

Our platform is powered by Vimeo OTT, giving filmmakers a secure, professional streaming environment with paywalled access, limited-time availability, and no public downloads.

FestFlix.tv is not a replacement for the live festival experience. It is an extension of it.

We use the platform to help selected films reach more viewers, give audiences more ways to discover independent work, and keep festival programming active beyond a single screening weekend.

More Than a Streaming Platform

FestFlix was created to give filmmakers another opportunity to share their work and connect with audiences beyond the festival screen.

Each showcase is carefully curated and available for a limited time, creating an online experience inspired by the excitement and discovery of a live film festival.

FestFlix FAQs

What is FestFlix?

FestFlix.tv is a streaming platform dedicated to independent film. Powered by Vimeo OTT, FestFlix showcases award-winning films, festival selections, and special online events for audiences around the world.

No. Participation in a FestFlix showcase is completely optional. Selected filmmakers will receive an invitation and can decide whether they would like their film included.

Do I have to participate?

How long will my film be available?

Most of our showcases stream for two weeks. Specific dates will be provided before each event.

Yes. FestFlix is hosted through Vimeo OTT, a professional streaming platform used by filmmakers, festivals, and content creators worldwide. Films are presented behind a secure paywall and are not available for download through FestFlix.

Is my film protected?

Yes. FestFlix supports geographic restrictions, allowing films to be limited to specific countries when necessary. If your film has distribution requirements or territorial restrictions, please let us know.

Can my film be geo-blocked?

Will my film be available for free?

No. Showcase films are generally available only to viewers who purchase a pass. Selected filmmakers will receive a free online access and we will provide a discount code for you to share with fans.

Absolutely. Filmmakers retain all ownership and rights to their work at all times. Participation does not transfer ownership, distribution rights, or exclusive rights of any kind.

Do I keep ownership of my film?

Can I continue screening or distributing my film elsewhere?

Yes. FestFlix is an exhibition platform, not a distributor. Participation does not prevent filmmakers from screening, distributing, licensing, or selling their work elsewhere.

Every film festival has its own eligibility and premiere requirements, so filmmakers should always review the rules of any festivals they plan to submit to in the future.

In many cases, festivals are primarily concerned with films being freely available to the general public on platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, or other open streaming services. FestFlix showcases are different. Films are presented as part of a curated, limited-time festival-style event and are available only during the showcase window through a secure paywall.

While we can’t guarantee another festival's eligibility decisions, FestFlix is designed to provide audiences with a limited-time preview of selected films rather than unrestricted public access. If you have concerns about a specific festival's requirements, we're happy to discuss geo-blocking and other available options.

Will streaming on FestFlix affect future festival eligibility?

Yes. Participation is voluntary. If you would like to stream for less than our two week run, you're welcome to set your own dates. After each showcase, films will be deleted from the platform.

Can I remove my film?

Do filmmakers receive payment?

Not at this time. FestFlix showcases are designed as promotional exhibition opportunities rather than traditional distribution deals.

Participating filmmakers receive a limited-time (2 week) online screening run, giving their film an opportunity to reach audiences beyond a single festival screening. Each showcase is promoted through Atlanta Film Series, FestFlix, social media, email marketing, filmmaker outreach, and festival channels, helping participating films build awareness and generate additional exposure.

Many filmmakers view FestFlix as an opportunity to extend their festival run, introduce their work to new audiences, and create additional buzz around their project during an active festival campaign.

FestFlix was created to help us continue supporting independent filmmakers between our live events. Online showcases allow us to keep audiences engaged year-round, introduce viewers to new filmmakers, and build awareness for upcoming Atlanta Film Series festivals and programs.

Our primary goal is to provide additional exhibition opportunities for filmmakers while helping audiences discover outstanding independent films they might not otherwise have the chance to see.

If a showcase generates revenue, those funds help support the continued operation of Atlanta Film Series and offset the costs associated with producing our festivals, awards, screenings, filmmaker events, and year-round programming.

In short, filmmakers gain additional exposure for their work, audiences discover new films, and any proceeds help us continue creating opportunities for independent film.
